I love this place but after the lady didn't let me get an Extra container so my son can eat to because we where going to the park and . She said no and I just spent over $99 and she gave me an attitude and everything this happened and told me it will cost extra . I'm February 22 at 2:30 PM. Lady was just a rude person just bc I didn't leave a tip I mean it's to go not to eat there and 100$ come on

I had birria tacos and it was THEE BEST BIRRIA tacos I've ever had! The only issue was the language barrier, which botched the service from the waitress. Most things we asked for she just said "No" and when we asked for cokes all around, she brought us diet cokes. Regardless, I will go back here. I will not fault people for language barriers, but in fact become a regular and work through the barrier. The manager or owner seems like he was the only one that spoke perfect English and thanked us in the end for coming. To be fair, I am giving a 4 star review due to the barrier. It's still a great place to eat and I will travel back there anytime I want.

I have been going to this restaurant for many many years. I no longer live in Illinois, but every time I am on my way back to Midway Airport, I stop here. I always bring 4 Gorditas home. Only three of them actually make it. I stopped in here last night and it's just as good as it ever was. This is actually the one thing I look forward to every six months. I hope they're around for a long long time!!! PS, we loved the Horchata here. I'm so mad I forgot to get some yesterday!!! OK, second edit after reading some other peoples reviews. When I say I've been coming here a long time I think it's been about 20 years. I get the peppers and cheese Gorditas. And I asked for beans to be put in there. When I picked them up yesterday, I was telling the young man that I was bringing them on the plane. And he said why didn't I tell him that, he would've wrapped them updifferent differently. I thought that was so sweet. To me it doesn't matter how they wrap them up, I eat one before the plane leaves, and the other three make it home and they are fine. I just thought it was super nice that he would've went out of his way had he known I was bringing them on a plane. I usually bring them to work the next day and eat them in front of everyone and make them jealous. I don't know how anyone can complain about this place. When I order on the phone, they always put somebody who speaks English on the line so I don't think that's a problem either. I could actually probably order in Spanish but I'm kind of nervous testing out my abilities when it comes to food..

My partner was the one that recommendated this restaurant. It has been a childhood favorite for my partner and it's a no frills type of place. However I enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely be returning. As I'm writing this review this is my second time coming here. The first time I went here I got a torta de Al pastor. Which i would always order. But this time around we picked up my partner's mom from the airport and she requested to go here for the gorditas. I got 3 two carne asada and one Al pastor 10/10 would come again
